San Francisco Meeting Notes: September 2007

Big thanks to Rob Ford for his presentation on vision boards (Rob’s is to the left) at our meeting last Thursday. He did a marvelous job of explaining how they work, especially how to use them to get in touch with your “little kid heart” – that part of you that can not be fooled, knows what’s what at an intuitive level, and that will not accept anything less than complete joy. And he passed out all kinds goodies for us to use for our own boards.

And as always, we had member announcements where everyone shared their passions, needs, and gifts. Check ‘em out below. Feel free to help those who ask for it or seek help from those offering it.

Our next meeting is Wednesday, October 24th. We will be featuring Sharon Hoffman, Ph.D of Living Stories. Sharon answers the cultural call to connect – locally, globally, and spiritually – by sharing peoples’ meaningful stories. She will talk about the relationship between stories and cultural transformation. And share ways to use stories in your life.

We hope to see you then to continue our social experiment in creating connections and culture that manifest abundance.

San Francisco, You’re Invited: 9/20 6pm at Howard Langton Community Garden

This month we meet at the Howard Langton Community Garden to hear about vision boards from long time member Rob Ford.

If you’ve never been to this community garden, then you’re in for a treat. It’s truly an urban oasis. It features stunning plant diversity, garden plots as art, a beehive, and a community of gardeners that has been evolving for ten years. Rob has demonstrated great leadership in bringing this wonderful model of abundance to life.

Rob will add to the splendor with a talk about vision boards. Vision boards are collages made of images and words that represent your goals. Making one is a step you can take toward making your dreams reality. Rob will share his vision board experiences and teach us how to make them.

And as always, please come prepared to tell us about your passions, discuss your needs, and share your gifts so that we can support each other in creating abundant lives.

San Francisco Meeting Notes: August 2007

Our August meeting was inspiring. Ingrid Heller’s (ABCrane) presentation had a lot to do with that (see her presentation above). As did a good showing of folks who came to share their dreams and help others with theirs. Big thanks to all for participating and demonstrating leadership.

Also, check out the post below by Maritza Schafer about her experience at August’s meeting. It’s a soulful post about what it means to her to be part of The Abundance League community.

Below are notes from the meeting. Feel free to help those who ask for it or seek help from those offering it (to protect privacy, contact Neal at gorenflo at gmail dot com to be referred).

Our next meeting is September 20th, details to follow. We hope to see you then to continue our social experiment in creating connections and culture that manifest abundance.
